Who are we?
We are Barclay Medical Practice and run 10 NHS General Practice across the central belt. We want to improve access and quality of care for our patients, and we believe there is better way. We have now extended to all NHS Lothian patients.
What is the cost?
The service is entirely free to NHS Lothian patients. We simply need your CHI (Community Health Index) number, which we provide to the health board, and they reimburse the practice directly for our time. We need is your CHI number before the appointment can be arranged.
What is a CHI Number?
This is your unique NHS number. This is on your prescription, NHS card, appointment card or you can simply request this from your own GP Practice . You will need this number before you can book an appointment.
Where are we?
We are operating from our sites in Livingston West Lothian, East Craig’s Edinburgh and Fauldhouse West Lothian, You can choose any of these site that suits you best.
When?
We hope to provide an appointment within 2 weeks. Our Appointments are available 4 weeks in advance, they are released on a weekly basis. We currently operate on Saturday morning with some mid week clinics.
Quality
All our staff are experienced NHS staff who have completed all the required training.
